Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Upon your arrival in Casablanca, we’ll pick you up from the airport, port, or your accommodation. Casablanca is not only the economic center of Morocco but also its largest city. Our first stop is the Hassan II Mosque, the country’s largest mosque, situated on the Atlantic coast with breathtaking ocean views.

Afterward, you’ll have free time for lunch and a chance to explore the city, including the picturesque Corniche of Casablanca. Your first night will be spent in a comfortable hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

Following breakfast, we’ll drive along the picturesque coastline to reach Rabat, Morocco’s capital. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the city’s highlights, including the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya.

After a leisurely lunch, we’ll continue our journey north to the charming Blue City of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. You’ll spend the night in a cozy hotel.

Day 3: Explore Chefchaouen

Today is dedicated to exploring Chefchaouen, famous for its blue-painted buildings and winding streets. Our morning stroll will take us through the enchanting medina, known for its authentic blue doors and whitewashed walls.

After lunch, you can embark on a hike to the Spanish Mosque, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city. You’ll return to the same hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 4: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, enjoy some free time to explore the mesmerizing alleyways of Chefchaouen. Later, we’ll visit the well-preserved Roman ruins of Volubilis, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site boasts beautiful mosaics, ancient pillars, and archways.

Our 12-days Morocco tour then takes us to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Here, you’ll visit the grand Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal Stables, the Granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Finally, we’ll head to Fes, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional Riad.

Day 5: Guided Tour of Fes

Today, you’ll explore the cultural and vibrant heart of Morocco, Fes, with the assistance of a local guide. Your journey starts at the Royal Palace gate and continues into the well-preserved medieval medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You’ll visit the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), the entrance to the old medina’s labyrinth of alleyways and streets. Inside, explore the Medrasa Bouanania, Najjarine Fountain, and the Tanneries. Your tour concludes with a visit to the Quaraouin Mosque and University, the world’s oldest university.

Afterward, we’ll leave the medina to visit the Jewish quarter, known as “the Mellah.” In the afternoon, you’ll head to an ancient fortress to enjoy panoramic views of the Medina and Fes city. Finally, return to your Riad for the night.

Day 6: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara

After breakfast, we’ll drive south through Imouzzer to reach Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its low temperatures and alpine-style architecture. Our journey continues through the cedar forest, home to Barbary macaques. Feel free to interact with these fascinating creatures as you explore the forest. Afterward, we’ll continue to Midelt, where you’ll have free time for lunch. As we drive through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass, you’ll enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Ziz Valley.

In the afternoon, we’ll arrive in the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. Here, you’ll switch to camels for an unforgettable ride across the sandy desert. Your journey will include a stop on a high dune to witness the magical Sahara sunset. Finally, you’ll reach the desert camp, blending traditional nomadic tents with the luxury of a hotel. Enjoy Berber drum music and dancing around the campfire beneath the starry desert sky. Dinner and an overnight stay in the camp complete this memorable day.

Day 7: Explore Merzouga Region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga Lake – Erg Chebbi – Palm Grove

After breakfast, you’ll return to Merzouga on camelback, where your driver will be waiting. The seventh day of your Morocco tour is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga region, known for its diverse landscapes and outdoor activities.

Our journey begins with an off-road drive to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. We’ll then visit nomads in their handmade woven tents and enjoy traditional Berber tea.

Next, we’ll head to the Khamlia village, where you can immerse yourself in the Gnaoua music and dance performances. The inhabitants of this village originate from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. After a restaurant lunch, take a leisurely stroll through the palm groves before driving to the wild Merzouga lake, also known as the flamingos lake. Finally, we’ll return to Merzouga for dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 8: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Following breakfast, we’ll leave the desert behind and visit Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a major trading center, with a bustling souk that comes alive on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After exploring the souk, we’ll continue to Erfoud, where you’ll visit one of the fossilized marble workshops.

Our journey then takes us through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra Gorges. Here, the Todra River has carved a grand high red cliff-sided canyon through the mountains, providing an ideal location for rock climbers. Enjoy some free time to explore the gorges and admire the stunning landscape. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

We’ll continue to the Dades Valley, passing through Boumalne Dades. Along the way, we’ll make stops to marvel at the “monkey fingers” rock formation and enjoy the view from a mountain overlooking the Dades Valley. Finally, dinner and an overnight stay await at a hotel.

Day 9: Dades Valley – Roses Valley  – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Telouet – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, our journey continues to Kalaa Magouna, known for its Rose Valley. In May, the town hosts the Rose Festival, celebrating local rose products such as perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetics. We’ll drive through the palm groves of Skoura before arriving in Ouarzazate, where you can explore the studios that have hosted famous movie productions.

Our next destination is the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This historical site has served as the backdrop for numerous movies and TV series, including “Gladiator,” “Alexander,” “The Mummy,” and “Game Of Thrones”.

We’ll then journey through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains, making stops for lunch and scenic photos along the way. Your day concludes with an overnight stay in a Marrakech Riad.

Day 10: Guided Tour of Marrakech

After breakfast in the 10th day of our 12-day Morocco Tour, explore the vibrant city of Marrakech with the guidance of a local expert. Marrakech is one of Morocco’s four imperial cities, and your tour will cover the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Quranic mosque, and a leisurely stroll through the largest traditional souk in Morocco.

You’ll have free time for lunch near the Jemaa El-Fna square. Later, visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest in Marrakesh, and the enchanting Majorelle Garden. Finally, return to your accommodation and enjoy the evening at your leisure, perhaps wandering through Jemaa El-Fna square on your own.

Day 11: Marrakech – Essaouira

Following breakfast, embark on a westward journey in this 12-day Morocco tour to the coastal city of Essaouira. Along the way, you’ll make stops to see the Argan trees and their resident goats, as well as enjoy breathtaking panoramic views.

Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador, is a significant coastal city with a rich history. Explore the fishing port, ancient ramparts with cannons, and the old Medina. Your overnight stay will be in Essaouira.

Day 12: Essaouira – Casablanca

On the final day of your 12-day Morocco tour, depending on your flight time, we’ll depart from Essaouira and drive along the scenic coastline. Stops will be made along the way for panoramic views before reaching Casablanca airport, marking the end of your tour.
